This big girl I found in our yard a few weeks ago while I was mowing. It is the biggest, hefty-est spider I have ever seen in NC. It gave me the creeps, but I couldn't kill it (I thought it's family might come and avenge it's death, or that I might try and it would jump me...). Anyway, enjoy the pic.

It's Pretty!!! can't tell what it is, not a very good shot of the thing's bottom (part) ... I'd guess fishing spider as it doesn't have the colorings of a wolf.
