Get out of debt!

I want to recommend Dave Ramsey's book The Total Money Makeover to any of you that are in debt or live paycheck to paycheck. The name of the book sounds cheesy but it is great information! It is not a get rich quick scheme, just a simple plan for taking control of your money. I have also included a link to Dave Ramsey.com to the right. Enjoy, and act your wage!

Lance's Burnt Art

I had a wild hair today and decided to go out to our fire pit, get some burnt pieces of wood and sticks, and draw a picture. (I think I have been living in the country too long...) Here is the final product (after about an hour of work). The bag has the remnants of my art supplies. As always, you can click on the picture for a higher def view. Enjoy!

Flooring, Furniture, and Fancy Frills...

Here are some pics of the fancification progress of our home. One is a little fuzzy, but it is the only one that hints at our having a dining area. Doesn't this just make you want to come visit?!? Or maybe buy our house? (see the link to our house-selling blog spot to the right)

For those of you who didn't know, we are putting in wood (nice laminate) flooring to help sell our house. Andy Jensen and I finished installing the floor today, and he will return tomorrow to put in the molding and the transition pieces. It looks great already. After it is all finished we'll post more pics. It looks better in person so feel free to come visit!

New Year's News

Happy New Year! Just some good news to start the year off. I finished my application to BYU online today!!! I should know something in the next month and a half or so. Also, we found out that I got my licensure raise effective in December!!! And, our mortgage company got our January mortgage check in December so we can file that on last years taxes (it's the little things that count.)
In other news, we will be putting our house up on the market sometime this month in hopes to get attention of in-coming ASU professors that will be moving in this summer. Daniel is crawling all over and loves to get into everything dangerous, and has begun saying "abaaababababaaaba" a lot. Alex came up with a new song... It goes "Peek-a-boo, I smell you, making something warm" and he likes to sing it in the bathroom...Alex also starts Primary next week! Jenny goes back to school on Wednesday. Lots of fun! If anyone in Utah Valley knows of a good place to live or wants us to move into their basement for a month this summer while we house search, let us know.
