Rhododendron are in bloom!

Our yard is even more beautiful. This bush is one that Lance transplanted and it is gorgeous! He did such a great job with our landscaping.

Anyone want an adorable puppy?

Lance rescued a puppy today and now we're looking for a home for him. (The dog, not Lance) We would actually LOVE to keep him, but we can't at our rental in Utah. He is sooooooooooo sweet and he's only 7 weeks old. Let us know if anyone is interested or knows someone who is. By the way, he needs all of his shots etc. But you can take care of all that stuff pretty inexpensively at the Humane Society.

We closed!

We are officially renting now!! We closed last Thursday and it's soooo nice to be certain of the sale. We paid off our van and our last credit card. Other than our student loans (which will be deferred during Lance's school) WE'RE DEBT FREE!!! It feels so great! What a blessing.

IT'S A MIRACLE!

My mom went in for surgery today and when the doctor opened her up, nothing. No cancer, no tumor, nothing. He left in the middle of the surgery and went to look at the CAT scan again to make sure he hadn't been mistaken. It still looked like a tumor, and yet there was nothing there. He can't explain it. But I know what happened. It was a miracle!! God does hear and answer prayers. Thank you so much for your prayers. Now we can say lots of prayers of thanksgiving!!!

Here are some family photos from Jenny's b-day

Frank & Melanie came over to celebrate Jenny's big day too. We had a great time.

Not so great news

After battling cancer for 18 months now, my mom found out today that the cancer is back and she has another tumor. She'll be going into surgery as soon as she can get in to have it removed and then she'll have 4 more chemotherapies. Any and all prayers in her behalf are appreciated.
Shiree

There's a new Nance baby in town!! (well, actually she's a Call girl)

Tracy and Ryan had a baby May 31st at 4:41am. She's a beauty (and the inspiration to update our blog). Check out the call family blogspot to see some photos. We're excited to see her soon!

We found a house in Utah

We found a great rental house in Utah!! It has a private yard, fruit trees & bushes, grape vines, 4 bedrooms (one in the basement for Lance to study in), a kids only attic playroom and so much more!!There's a bathroom

downstairs with the 4th bedroom, so there's privacy if you want to come visit us!!
We leave June the 13th and will go visit Cal, Debbie, Tracy, Ryan & Emmalyn for the weekend before making the drive to Utah. We hope to be there by the 19th. Any of you Utah folks who want to help us come move in are welcome!
p.s. if you look really closely in the first picture you can see the Provo Temple in the distance!! It's 2.3 miles away!

Jenny's b-day

Jenny had a great 6th b-day party. I can't believe she's so old!! Here are some photos from the event!

Lance & Daniel's b-days

Lance and Daniel celebrated their birthdays on the 16th of May! We had the special treat of having Lance's grandma Carolyn come for a visit from Florida. (Frank and Melanie brought her over.) We got a few photos, I'll put up some.

Lance's hard work

Lance has been hard at work making our yard look magnificent!! We have some BEAUTIFUL plants and he's done such a great job with the landscaping. Here are some photos. If you want to see it in person, you've got 6 weeks to come visit!

Bowling for Alex's b-day

It was rainy for Alex's b-day, so we went bowling rather than to Tweetsie. My folks were visiting and they treated! Thanks! Frank and Melanie came up later in the day and we unwrapped presents and cards and had cake. Here are some photos from the day's events.

Alex had a great b-day!

Here are some photos from the "friend b-day party"

Here are some more

Jenny was the only one brave enough to get close to Sir Topham Hat. He's a bit scary in person!

The New Tweetsie Season is HERE!!

Thanks to generous b-day presents from Chuck & Donna Dome we get to enjoy one more season of Tweetsie RR before heading west. I took the kids yesterday and today to "Day out With Thomas" (Lance is getting over the stomach flu and didn't feel up to the rigors of the day). We had a great time!!! Here are some initial photos. I'll post a video after I learn how. :)

Birthdays & fun

Alex turned 4 on the 5th of May. Shiree's parents and the Coney's came over for the celebration and we had a great time. Bowling with kids is fun! Alex, Shiree & Daniel also kicked off the Tweetsie season with a fun morning out. We haven't been back because of rain but hopefully we'll make it this weekend.
Daniel turned 1 and Lance turned 29 on the 16th of May. We had a family party on the 16th and then on the 19th Frank, Melanie and Mimi came over. That was a super fun day!
Jenny finished her gymnastics class with a performance. She did great. She's finishing up kindergarten this Thursday and has had a wonderful year.
We'll get some pictures posted soon to show all of these great events!

We are under contract!!

A week ago a couple came by to look at the house. They came back Thursday and then made an offer Saturday. After bargaining all day we came to an agreement and we'll have the contract signed today!! The closing date is "no later than July 13th". So we'll be in Utah for the 24th of July celebrations!! We found out that we can't tow our van --it's too big-- so we'll be driving out. Not looking forward to that! Thank goodness for portable VCRs and DVD players.
One cool twist on our sale is that the buyer's agent is Kati Hamm our next door neighbor from White Laurel. We're so excited that she'll make a few thousand dollars off of our sale. The timing works out perfectly and we feel very blessed and favored. We also got a good price on our house and gave the couple who is buying it a good deal. They'll move in with equity, and we'll have some money to pay debt, move to Utah and for Lance to go to school without taking out as many loans. Hooray!!!!
